This year Jose Bautista has been the most surprising player, and the Reds and Padres have been the suprising teams. Next year I think Max Scherzer will be one of better pitchers in the league and be a surprising player, and more people will know of his talent, even though he has had a tremendous second half, not many people know of him. I think the surprising team(s) could be the Oakland Athletics and the Detroit Tigers, this is if the Tigers will be able to spend their multi-millions of money they are getting off the books wisely. By getting another good starter, a good hitting catcher, and an infielder. The Oakland Athletics only need is hitting, because they already have a dominant young pitching rotation. If they can get some hitters, they will be able to contend next year. Also the Blue Jays could be a good team next year, if they get some good contact hitters.
